Ro and i have taken to exploring local abandoned places, it's nice.

We've known each other since we were 9, we met at some silly church camp and agreed to go every year since. we formed quite a friend group, all very different personalities with one thing in common. we had no parents. Anyways we fell out of touch at 13, no particular incident, most of us grew out of it and each other. plus it had become increasingly harder to book into the camp the older we got so most of us gave up all together.

i hadn't spoken to her in years, after my attempt the company looked for a temp placement. funnily enough it landed me in my old home town, and funnily enough it landed me in a group home with my childhood best friend.

both of us were ecstatic, and then we weren't. we each didn't know how to talk to the other and spent our days avoiding each other after a painful train ride seethed in awkwardness. 

pretty recently we've started hanging out, it only took several months.

We bonded over our love for criminology and abandoned places.

it's not the same but it's nice nevertheless. My heart aches a little when i think about how close we used to be, i long for that kind of connection.
