i cant finish this book, i dont want to lose them (possible haruki murakami style and wind up bird spoilers?)

ive been reading haruki murakamis wind up bird chronicle on and off for the past year lol. i will go through a phase where i read a bit, but then i get busy and i put it down for a long, time, but then i'll read it again. idk i thought i didn't care for murakami books. it takes like until i am half way through the book before my attention has really been gripped. but now that ive read 2 already, i feel like he has become something of a comfort author for me. i know what symbols to expect, the way his writing style is translated is pretty accessible and i don't have to try too hard to read through lofty prose. i know to expect a more lonely dude and several women who he will most likely sleep with. cats, wells, a supernatural or dreamlike occurrence. but i guess murakami is comforting to me is the way he captures lonliness and atmosphere. the way you pay way too much attention to the simple things like the music you listen to, the neighborhood youve walked through too many times.

i like creta kano and malta kano. their mysterious characterization. a woman who is sad, but simply cant tell you why. do words evade her? can some weights not be captured through word?

idk i just wanted to put something lazy out there to share some of my thoughts about murakami. i said to myself that wind up bird would be the last book of his that i would read, but for some reason i dont feel compelled to pick up any other authors. i just want to stick with what is familiar lol. i didnt even like kafka on the shore the first time i read it. but on the time where i stuck through it, im glad that i did once i reached half way through. why am i a hater lol
