Anthem of the Sun review

The Grateful Dead, in only their second year of music business, are quickly becoming the cult-leaders, so to speak, of the California long-hairs and their psychedelic and exciting culture with the Dead’s liberating July manumit Anthem Of The Sun, which contrasts with their self-titled debut by not only being more edgy, but also being an almost completely new and raw sound. Saturated with an uncultivated acid-rock sound collage, Anthem – having just five tracks –  commands boisterous unity which includes folks of all walks of life. Besides parents.

My fave track is alligator prolly
