Vibe is more important to appealing art than Thematic consistency

Im currently really obsessed with this song called SPIT IN MY FACE! by ThxSoMch that was in my Youtube Shorts feed. Its got a lot of heavy bass and carries some insane emo angst, also i read in the comment section of the official audio on Youtube that he made this all from his bathroom. Consider me impressed.

But thats not what i want I want to discuss. Like I said I was made witness to it via my youtube shorts. Shorts about self-improvement videos which is insanse because there is no message about self-improvement in the song.

The entire song is about some dude who hates the degredation, disrespect and exploitation he gets from this person who he is obsessively in love with. Obessed to the point that he is willing to take all that degrading shit because hes just that obsessed. Which is not something I would gladly connect with self-improvement.

Just goes to show that when it comes to art and memes, vibes are more imoortant than thematic consistency, even if the parts of the work contrast so much that is becomes so ironic that it practically insulting to anyone who happily associates themselves with it.

Songs a banger tho. 8/10 i need it to be longer
