So there's a minor confession I need to make.
I have been scrambling for family friendly writing stuff to share into google docs.
I haven't been struggling with writing itself; the mood strikes, I get it down, judge it, maybe share it. Boom.
But basically I'm wondering if it'd be okay with you guys if I were to share writing involving darker themes?
A death scene I wrote a couple weeks ago seemed well received over on facebook!
And anything dark themed I want to share will be appropriately tagged. sometimes I dont think to tag or mention things are in the piece that might be upsetting, so telling me "hey you need to tag this" is 100% okay with me.
potential stuff i've been thinking about sharing into google docs or posting them here are;
1. my goddess character finds herself captive, as well as a small scene where she discusses it with her husband + psychiatrist.
2. a scene where some kind of doppelganger emerges from the protagonist's head after a night of heavy grieving and anguish. the canonicity (wether it does actually happen in-universe) is still heavily debated.
3. aftermath of a suicide attempt, where someone is getting their bandages changed. this was actually posted to Deviantart years ago, before I abandoned the art site.
4. my protagonist finds herself in a strange realm during her sleep... where nightmares have come to life and she feels everybody's pain and suffering.
I write dark stuff pretty often, I experiment with all sorts of themes when I can.
But I care about everybody's safety and wellbeing here, I don't want to accidentally trigger anyone.
Thoughts?
