shut up, sometimes

i would expect family to be the last people to feel the need to make small talk with me, but they do it the most out of anyone i've ever met. small talk isn't real, and i hate entertaining it. i wish we could all agree that there's nothing wrong with not talking. if given the choice, i would rather never speak again than have to talk just for the sake of filling the silence.
