About the recent nsfw accounts

Do not give them attention.

Making new accounts to cover them up or combat them will likely not work or do anything other than make them start up again / keep going. Please don't encourage doing so, you're wasting your time and your emails for really no purpose.

Simultaneously, they are likely to keep on either way - with people interfering or without. If people do make those accounts & state it, just respectfully tell them not to (and why, if they need an explanation).

& I recommend that if the spam accounts post blogs or specifically ask for people to interact, that you please do not comment or friend them. I have no idea what kind of people they're going after since I've known absolutely zero of them, but it could get you targeted or at least considered by the people making these accounts and that could end up badly.

Giving specific, reocurring ones attention (e.g friending them on Discord or commenting on their profile) is exactly what they want, and you'll get nothing from it except most likely them spamming the same things to you. It's not worth it, they do it because they're bored and if they have nothing to gain from it but more boredom, then they will eventually stop. 

Or maybe not, I don't know, but at least don't contribute to the issue. 

It might be funny to you and you could see it as 'entertaining', but you need to realize that there are children on here or people who are repulsed / triggered by such content and that it isn't okay to expose them to NSFW content like these accounts do. 

Reasoning with them will likely not do anything either, this is not a movie. 

It is completely okay to be upset about this as well as it is okay to be upset about everyone talking about it (maybe you prefer to ignore it or just block it), but it can be genuinely triggering for people even if it isn't for you & it is important to acknowledge and not demean people who are struggling because of this.

If you don't want to see it I recommend asking a friend who isn't effected to tell you when It's over, stay on a specific page as to not see it (the safe accounts & their blocklist blogs are best), or just get off SpaceHey for a bit.

You can also try this, to hide Cool New People entirely.
