aparently, I have the saddest resting bitch face when im walking around, minding my own business on campus. the amount of times people ask me if im okay is astounding.
One time i had just gotten out of a super easy math exam. i finished quick and got out early. I walked out the building and this lady approached me, asking if i was okay. i was very okay, i was quite happy that i finished early. when i asked why she asked me that, she said "you just look so sad."
That made me soo depressed. i know she was well meaning. we had a short conversation and she told me that i shouldn't look so sad. she was the type of lady who is definitely a mother figure. turns out she was the head of one of the humanities departments.
i try to naturally smile more but its hard. back in middle school, my resting face was a slight smile. but i noticed that when i was mean mugging, people teased me less, so i just...stopped smiling.

my pet peeve is being asked to smile. my exhaustion face comes across as more gloomy than tired, and then i get people trying to cheer me up when i want to be left alone. like thank you but please go away
