promises

some old people may think that at age 20 you should learn that people dont keep their promises but idgaf

my dad used to make promises all the time and he always broke them. I've just always wanted someone close who doesn't break their promises. 

it's literally the small promises. 

"I promise I'll check out that song" or " I promise I'll text you later"

simple things like that people can't seem to keep. it's frustrating because I do all that I can to fulfill promises i make but aparenty people aren't required to fulfill them unless it a legal contract. then I just end up looking stupid or desperate.

maybe it's a realization that I'm coming to as an adult and I should stop making people promise things because it just leads to disappointment but I just want one man to keep their promises to me.

maybe it's bc I don't have many men in my life but it just happens to be men that don't keep their promises and everyone else does

maybe I'm not someone worth keeping promises with?
