About the guitar. Even a half way playable one isn't that expensive.
When you get one, practice for fifteen minutes every day - that's better than doing two hours just one day a week.
Play more than practice. Explore the sounds and your enjoyment in them.
Music has a lot of rules, but the ONLY rule that counts is:
"If it sounds good, it IS good."
And that's very subjective.
