People pleaser

She used to be smart

And talented and gifted

But now she just wants

This curse to be lifted

That's been there

Since late fourth grade

When her gift

Began to fade

She was no longer

As she was before

She would break down

And fall on the floor

She feels like a failure

Like nothing at all

So she became

A marinette doll

Only existing

For others use

Not even caring

If it was abuse

She was in pain

She didn't care though

Because no matter what

She couldn't say no.
