[I hopelessly try to talk to men on dating apps, and usually am disappointed or terribly confused, it feels they don't understand how some of the things they say can deter people. A man told me "I want that moment 3 years in before 4 or 5 years where she snaps and leaves" and explained that his ex left him. You shouldn't base your future endeavors on something like that, you're basically bringing instability or anticipation of instability to the table and that's really off-putting. Practically setting up for disaster if you're already talking about the end of the relationship that hasn't even happened, my good sir- we are not even friends yet. The conversation grew quickly more of an effort than an experience and I made myself clear that it was and I was no longer feeling interested.]
