Hi guys, I recently slightly cut my finger while trying to skin this unknown animal head I found (probably something like a raccoon or possum). It is pretty far along in decomposition - no brain, no blood, mainly just greyish tan skin that I was trying to peel/cut off, and I had left it in a bucket of soapy water to get the skin loose for about a day. Anyways, I was using rubber gloves and when I took them off for the day my hands looked clean, I washed them, and I didn't think anything of it. However about half an hour later I noticed a small fresh cut on the tip of my finger, not bleeding but deep for a surface abrasion. I've since washed my hands again and cleaned the wound with rubbing alcohol. I've been considering just leaving it and waiting until morning to see how it looks/how I feel because I think I can rule out rabies or other viruses that live in animals because of how long the animal seems to have been dead. Is this a good idea? Am I missing any obviously dangerous components to this situation? If anyone knows a lot about diseases you can catch from doing things like this, would you mind helping me out?

id say wait til tmr and if it looks all gross, go c a doctor!!
