The lost hope of the informed Netizen

Back in the 90s or so (pretty much when they started making video instruction for the internet) people believed the internet could actually make us SMARTER, more informed and better citizens. It would make democracy better or some gay politician lie along those lines. Well, did it turn out that way? or did humans go their natural way of ignorance, escape, pleasure and all that? Its pretty obvious what happens. At this point, the digital world isnt a way to learn about the real world; it is the real world. The digital world creates a FAKE sense of being informed, being virtuous, etc, etc and pretty much a million negative adjectives.

I personally hate how much i use the internet and i try to avoid using it when its not nessecary. I download/buy all my music, read books instead of pdf, talk in real life (jk, i have no friends), talk with family, etc, etc. I use cellphones very little too, i hate those little devils.

I really wish the internet would've fulfilled its promises but obviously, they are FAR from fulfilled and honestly gave the opposite of the intended result, but hey atleast i get to watch 4k porn and listen to all the music i want!
