Starting off the night strong with the longest line I've been in for a show since The Story So Far headlined at Radius, we waited about 30 minutes in line until we were let in. Sanguisugabogg was the opener, I've never heard of them before but they're a deathcore band. I was actually pretty shocked that they were the opener but they were a vibe. They got the pit going and definitely got everyone going. Some dude straight up was smacking the shit out of people in the pit with his shoe and it was the funniest thing to witness. I also got to crowdsurf to them and it was a fun time! Fiddlehead was up next, another band I haven't heard of but they were also a good time. I thought they sounded pretty similar to La Dispute with a bit of Joyce Manor so if you're a fan of those bands definitely check them out. Right before Citizen came on I met these two girls from Ohio that offered me a pretzel and by this time the two tall boys I had during the first half of the concert were hitting so this girl was a saint for showing up at the right time and place. Citizen came on and immediately the crowd rushes the stage and next thing you know everyone fell over like it was Wii Sports 100 pin bowling. They played through the entire album and I was enjoying every minute of it in the pit and was crowdsurfing. I ended up knocking out a security guard after they caught me crowdsurfing so I hope homie alright, but he definitely feeling it today. They had a 4 song encore, including a new song they haven't released yet, to close out the night. It was so much fun and went really fast. Afterwards, I hit up some spot back towards home for a 2am torta and called it a night.
I linked a playlist of what they played tonight on Spotify for anyone who wants to have a lsiten :)
