Mental Illness

You can have good days but still have depression. You can have moments of confidence but still have anxiety. You can still succeed in things, with a mental illness.

Just because someone seems fine, it does not mean they are. One good day does not mean they're cured.

The point is, a mental illness doesn't mean that a person is incapable of living their life completely.

If a person goes from a week of not leaving their house, to going to a party - it does not mean that they are no longer depressed. It means they are still fighting.

Please don't assume someone is lying about their mental health or that they must be better. You're only seeing the front cover. You still should make sure they are okay.

All of this 💯 You put it into words perfectly. I have to remind myself quite often to not let the hard days win 💪🧠 I also think providing a safe space and empathy goes a long way when someone expresses they are dealing with some issues or dark thoughts. When someone feels shamed or misunderstood, it can close the door for them being open about their mental health with others again.
