socially transitioning... need outfit inspo

hi, sorry, just had to write this down!

i've been out for years now, but i'm just now wanting to start socially transitioning. i just got a new haircut! it's super short and it totally makes me look like a guy. nothing wrong with it, i actually really love it. but- now i have the urge to buy more gender affirming clothes. i'm legit torn between wanting to continue wearing my fem clothes or actually invest in a few outfits to indulge in that urge.

thing is, i do have a babyface, so i look younger for my age. and the issue is, how do i dress my age, but as masc/guy? i have an idea and take screenshots of outfits i like, but everything is so expensive.

might do it tho and buy 2-3 outfits, just to see how i feel. feel like buying clothes similar to what i wear.. like a skater boy lmao. or maybe grunge? alt? punk? a bit of everything???

congrats on the hair cut!! when i first started transitioning i also had the babyface problem (i look 12 in my drivers license photo lmao), and i think the best remedy for that is just to buy clothes that fit you well. Kids/younger usually have baggy/awkward fit clothes because they're still growing and dont have a lot of experience putting together their own outfits yet. That's not to say you cant wear baggy clothes, but there's a fine line between fashionably baggy and swallowing you.

I think your current idea of just shifting the style you already wear to the masc version of it is a good idea. good luck and remember to try and have fun exploring this new side of yourself!

thank you for replying!! :D

yeah, i def didn't want to jump out of my comfort zone from the get go. but they're clothes, i can always return em if i dont like it. just gotta keep in mind the price tags cuz i cannot be spending so much on clothes T_T
