writepril day 11 trying something new

its day 11 and ive been liking my little daily entries but ive been wanting to try something different to challenge myself to write with more versatility but also im lazy. i remembered this practice from when i was in school for writing where i had to partner up with 2 of my seminar classmates and we each had to write a stanza of poetry and then rearrange our 3 stanzas into 1 cohesive poem. i really liked that practice. another practice i did my second year was having to write 1 couplet (2 lines of poetry) everyday each week and at the end of the week we would go over our couplets as a class and talk about them. so i decided to combine these 2 practices and what i did was go back through my notes to find little fragments of poems ive written and try to string them into one poem. i always write little 2 line or 1 line poems in my notes and rarely end up doing anything with them so this was fun to do and ill definitely try it again. anyway here it is!

knuckle sucking sicko healing wounds with spit

do you kiss the sun back when it shines on you?

jaded and thoughtless for weeks

wishing i could go back to

nights of gutfire, guttural screams 

music builds in thunder and i feel you there

something in me wants to scream

city of portal doors

teleporting through window worlds

i see myself lost and unclean, fate fading

chasing thought tunnels with trojka

i unexist between days of you

for her id find the ocean

for theres something there that grows

i will make it my lifes mission to make sure nobody forgets about you
