retro CGI

I learned how to make early CGI! :D the easiest way is to simply find whatever software was used to make the CGI you see. For example, I want to recreate Final Fantasy VII's backgrounds. So I looked it up and it turns out that Square Enix used what is called SoftImage (now Maya) and PowerAnimator, both of which are no longer in use. To get around that, I can find a copy on the internet archive then use a virtual machine to emulate the OS that it runs on! So far I haven't tried any because my laptop is too weak ;__; but at least I know what to do now! Bryce 3d here I come!!! :3
