what i've been up to

long time no see!

as usual, work has been killing me lol, but it's not been that bad. but it's just been what has been eating up my time. 

my obsession with Volker has still been going strong. he's my little meow meow and I want to eat him. i've also been thinking about my LARP character (Rahdcligh), and my fiance's LARP character (Elanor). their whole deal is that Elanor is an amnesiac who believes himself to be one of the greatest knights of all time. he certainly isn't. Rahdcligh found Elanor lying unconscious on the side of a trail one day and was like "holy jesus fucking christ is that guy fucking dead?? no? thank god, better help him." and then he finds out that Elanor is mega delusional and bc he feels bad at first he just kinda plays along with it, but then finds it entertaining and fun and then actually enjoys playing along so he just enables the delusion. they are awful little creatures that get in ENTIRELY too much trouble, and I love them for that. Rahdcligh will invent songs of praise for Elanor making everyday events some crazy grand story of heroic deeds just bc. (like how they accidentally got into a fight with a bear turns into how they vanquished a dragon kind of BS)

I've also been working on trying out making visual novels on my phone. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it, so I'm starting to play around with it more. right now I'm making a test game about my vampire OC Eugene, who is a pure-blood vampire (a vampire born from two vampires that have purely vampire blood (as far as vampire genealogy goes)) who is a vampire hunter / executioner. he's a goofy little guy. if i do more with it i'll post more about it! ideally i want to make the call of cthulu oneshot i'm running into a VN. maybe i'll do IDV fangames too idk. could be fun

i've been busy with art stuff too outside of that -- i'm in 3 zines that all have check ins this month, and then i'm in a secret santa, and i just finished an art trade. this is what I drew for the other person! 

it was a fun piece to work on. I liked what I did with the hair and shading with the dress. i feel like I learned smth when I drew that dress. 

a d&d group i'm in also just finished a campaign that was on hiatus for like a year last week. it was a long final battle and my cleric almost died in the first half of the dungeon. thank god he could soak up damage like a motherfucker. Isaiah is a champ. I'll miss playing him, but I'm glad he got to go back home and start raising his newly adopted horrifying flesh golem child named Charlemagne. that's his fucking baby boy. 

that group is playing a campaign that I run this wednesday -- can't wait to put them through hell! <3 

i've also been playing IDV a lot more on a competitive level (but like, casually competitive). I should be getting a Lawyer B badge, a Professor C badge, and I'm on my way to a Prisoner C badge. I recently became a Mammoth rank suvivor, which is crazy to me. It's been a lot more fun playing rank than quick matches bc ppl tend to know how to play a bit better in rank. I've also made a couple of friends on there since I've been playing more. one I play rank with from time to time, and the other I became friends with bc they were talking about a pretty much non-existent rarepair (JackJose) and I was like omg I ALSO happen to ship that in a very specific AU that I have. I want to start working on my fanfics again so that i can provide them content LOL, or at least make one-shot stuff or smth. I've literally never seen anyone even TALK about JackJose before so like yknow. there was a bond. maybe one day (it will happen, there is no maybe) i will talk about my weird ass rarepairs and headcanons. 

i also started listening to juno steel / penumbra podcast again. i like the one they have with the knights too, but I won't listen to that with any sort of frequency until I finish the juno steel episodes, and finish the magnus archives. one of my IRLs is always picking on me bc I told him to listen to TMA and he finished it like. a year ago. and i've still not finished it. which, fair, that does deserve some bullying. I'm almost done with it though, I have like. a season or two left to finish. 

what i should be working on more is the novel I'm writing and some personal art methinks, but god that's so much fucking WORK!!!
