and it hits when i least expect it

my friend asked me to explain to them how to kiss

and all i could remember was your lips intertwined with mine

you are someone i would never seek out again

but you are someone i will love until i cannot love anymore

sometimes i wake up in the middle of the night

and turn to the side, as if i'd see your face in a place you'd never been

i hope you have forgotten that you loved me
