I think it’s weird that we live in such a capitalist society that people can’t even rent apartments let alone houses. Like why are corporations raising rent so much to the point where people need four roommates and two jobs to even have shelter. We as a society are no longer living we are surviving.
Not like you can complain about it though either, at least in America. The moment someone complains about rent being out of their budget the first thing people suggest is moving out. Like?!?! America has such an individualist mentality to the point where we can no longer empathize with people, because of the mindset of “it doesn’t affect us” which I suppose is correct if you talking about directly but the reality is it does affect in this round about way.
Like honestly what else are people supposed to do?!! People have lost all aspirations and going to fields that guarantees money in the long run. Such as the medical field. But even still nurses don’t get paid compared to doctors, and they both are overworked to the point where they can’t enjoy life, they can’t enjoy the money their making because their always at work.
How are we supposed to live? We are only surviving and there comes a point where we won’t have the desire to keep going. The working class is killing themselves either from overworking or at their own will.
