Burnout and stress

I feel burned out.

I just want to disappear from life for a few weeks, get my mojo back.

Lounge by a pool. Do some swimming, climb a mountain, something like that.

I want to come back to content creation, and work feeling refreshed for a change, but the way life is right now it's going to be quite some time before that is a viable option.

I've not even left anything yet. But I need some kind of break. Something to bring my motivation back.

Too many group chats, too many days of low quality of sleep, too many days relying on stimulants just to make it through, too much noise.

I get the feeling this feeling of fatigue is quite prevalent across the world right now. I am seeing more disillusion, and an almost zombie like state in people. Everything seems to feel like work right now.

How do we resolve this issue?

I don't know for the wider populous, but for me it will entail scaling back a few things, reducing the pressure, reducing the amount of stuff I have just sitting around taking up space not doing anything or being used.

Not going full minimalist/spartan here, but just lightening the load a little.
Getting a couple of larger projects out of the way so I can finally tick them off my list.

Now I can finally use the gym again I can start physically stressing my body in ways that will help me sleep better, deeper, and get that blood pumping to aid my body in removing things that are exacerbating this feeling of stress and burnout.

Physical activity can help clear your system, as well as your mind. Steady state cardio exercise can be incredibly meditative.

I have also began practicing on my snare pad once again which is giving me a mixture of a workout and focussed repetitive motion. Working on some stuff for a session job so that's giving me a bit of drive that I haven't had in a while.

I've also been diving back into long form solo video games lately to try and have a break from the rest of the world. Just bobbing along and playing a game I enjoy. I'm finally getting around to doing a full playthrough of Fallout 4 complete with it's DLCs. Never got to them before, that sense of discovery is starting to return.

I will also be trying to finally finish my Subnautica run, and carry on with my playthrough of ECHO so I can then comfortably stream it too.

I hope some of you who are going through Stress and Burnout have found something that can keep your heads above water, even if it's something as small as drawing stick figures, tidying the living room, or playing a video game for personal enjoyment alone.

If you have something that helps you through the day please share it below, I'm interested to see the sheer variety of what helps people get through.

When you need a break, you need a break. It's necessary to get things done that need to get done. Sometimes certain things just have to be put on hold for a bit. -Diobolos, Undead Prince Of Pennsylvania V''''V
