Merry Christmas, 2022!

My Christmas, though frustrating, was a nice one. I gifted my boyfriend a multi-tool he'd been looking at for some time as well as a tactical mini-usb flashlight with all kinds of different settings. He'd been looking at that, too, to replace his older one. It warms my heart remembering the look on his face when he opened it and fiddled with it for a while. I like when something I do makes it to a part of his every day carry. The fact that he enjoyed his gifts really makes me feel good, too.

He got me some presents, too! He got me a squishmallow axolotl with fuzzy hair, a cute little plushie rainbow mushroom, some neon colored pencils, and some gorgeous incense. The strawberry incense smells like gummy bears and the sage-citrus smells very Christmassy and fresh. They've been perfect accents to watching Christmas movies and being rather chilly.

Speaking of being chilly... besides having candy candes and cocoa to go along with the snow outside here in Kentucky, our hot water pipes froze up! Luckily we've been planning and saving, and we'll have this issue fixed in no time, but I wanted to mention this bit because... despite something having gone wrong, it wasn't a bad Christmas. Sure things didn't feel too fuzzy and there wasn't much of a holiday spirit... but we gave it our best try and acknowledged the good.

The good is... we made it another year through harships... through differences, changes... we made it through ups and downs of all kinds and we've made it through the mundane, as well. We made it around the sun as a unit, you guys, so I guess that's pretty neat, huh? Well, most of us. Most of us made it, but those who didn't are bound to be serving a greater purpose. Or if they weren't very good people, they're being righted for their wrongs and... either way... balance is being upheld and those who aren't with us are no longer in pain.

Life can be celebrated because now there's another year of it to look forward to.

Do I have any New Year's Resolutions... probably to work harder on my weight and maybe work harder on my own personal writing projects... not just on commissions, now that I can actually relax from that a bit. I still plan to write... just not as many and not as hurried. This year is about making my wellness my top priority so... I guess I have a Me project to work on. Do you?
