My weekend was terrible. None of my friends talked to me and ended up spending my weekend all alone, which triggered a depressive episode. 5th period just started a few minutes ago, and I'm in a lot of pain. My period also started last week, and so far I haven't had any cramps until today. I'm in so much pain, I can't even describe how bad it hurts. I'm worried that it isn't normal to be in this much pain. I can't wait for the day to end, so I can get home and nap. Luckily, I also have the next period kind of. I'm incredibly anxious to work on my project in a classroom filled with other kids and loud noises, so my science teacher is letting me work on it during my study hall period, which is the period right after that. My English teacher is talking about what our favorite movie is, and mine is Edward Scissorhands. I for some reason was too scared to say it, though. I'm too scared to say anything. Anyways, I'll write once I'm home.

It's not very uncommon for cramps to cause really horrible pain but there is help for that such as birth control.
You can probably contact a clinic and discuss your cramps and maybe talk about what kind of birth control you would like to try.
Also, I don't believe you have to be 18+ since birth control isn't only used for preventing pregnany but a lot of people are using them for period cramps and heavy flows as well.
I hope I was able to help even though I don't know how this works in other countries but I wish you luck and take care!
I've considered birth control but I've also heard there are bad side-effects or that it requires surgery. Idk if they're true or not but the thought scares me-

Hmm.. well, there are pills and no surgery is then required but you won't get pills straight away since you will have to answer a few questions and blood pressure will be checked too and such.
If everything looks good then you are good to go and get those pills.
Otherwise there is like a stick kind of thing which you will have inside your arm and then there is also a plastic thing which is inserted you know where..
Sorry I'm not good at remembering what those were called.
But I don't think you should worry too much as you will probably get more information about how this works and you choose the alternative that works best for you and what you are most comfortable with and hopefully it works out for you.
