Dude, I swear I wanted to like this new gamemode, swiftplay. I would've preferred one with 1v1s or 2v2s with new maps specialized for that purpose, but swiftplay was highly requested on Reddit and Twitter and it wasn't too bad of an idea. However, swiftplay's econ severely misses the mark it needs to hit. Here's what I mean:
The cred allowance in swiftplay is organized as
Pistol: 800
2nd: 2400 (or 3000 if pistol is won)
3rd: 4250
4th: 4250
along with standard bonuses for kills (200/each) and plants (300)
This gets insane really fast if you don't spend all your creds each round. For example, I was playing with my duo, and we lost both pistol and second round, and because my duo's a dumbass, he was buying util (as Yoru) each round. Even with all of that, he was able to buy an op, full shield, a sheriff for a sidearm, and all his util for the round. The econ's sped up for four rounds to allow the buying of all the weapons, but I find it still just the slightest bit insane. It allows for both teams to buy 2nd round, and I'm sure there's other issues with it that I didn't find immediately because I only played one game of it.
In conclusion: I don't like the new gamemode, goddamn.
