Fast food restaurants and bakeries should not be near schools

Fast food restaurants and bakeries are frequently visited by teenagers, especially the ones that are near schools. They have many advantages, but also some disadvantages.

First advantage is that fast food restaurants and bakeries are good places for hanging out with friends. You can go there to buy snacks during the school break. Secondly, the food is delicious and easy to carry to school. In addition, you can go there fast and not to risk getting late to school.

Despite all of these advantages, they also have many drawbacks. Firstly, because of their location, fast food restaurants and bakeries are usually crowded during the school break, so you have to wait long and you will usually be late for school, punished by your class tutor* and will not be able to eat your snacks in time. Another disadvantage is that the food sold in fast food restaurants and bakeries is really expensive because of the location. Even water costs hunderd dinars*¹ in some places! In addition, the food sold there is not really healthy. Also, children who go to primary school are not allowed to leave the school yard*² for their safety because they could be harmed in traffic or by the older people, but they usually break that rule to go to the fast food restaurants or bakeries, so it is a big problem. Furthermore, the food sold there can be risky for eating if it is unhygienic because the workers are not wearing gloves during the food preparation.

To conclude, fast food restaurants and bakeries have many advantages and disadvantages, but in my opinion disadvantages outweigh the advantages, so I do not visit them very often, but eat at home before school saving my money and eating healthy.
