I search for a space in the wall I can crawl into, begging to be encapsulated in its cold. Not to be hidden, but to be held, suffocated by an exhausting force who holds my face and lets me sleep. I press my face into the rough white, my body heat contrasting the snow-like cold, praying for that one in a trillion chance to phase through it, to escape into it.
