So Google Stadia is shutting down.
It wasn't well thought out, the tech just isn't there yet, but it was an interesting attempt. If they had made it purely the subscription service it might have survived. But by charging a subscription then making people pay full price for games on top of said subscription, no one wanted it.
Also due to the terrible nature of internet services worldwide, connection, input lag, and visual fidelity were all issues that needed to be overcome. The general consensus I have seen trawling through twitter and various gaming spaces leads me to believe that most people had already forgotten this system even existed.
I don't think anyone will miss this misstep of gaming in the long run, like the Ouya.

Well shit i gotta transfer some destiny 2 clans to epic game launcher accounts now don't I? Rip stadia
Does Destiny 2 have cross save? if so it should be an easy time.

I never enabled it. I don't play on stadia really. Just did for the clan which is what im transferring. Gotta install D2 AGAIN on PC and then play enough to join on epic then leave on stadia

Ouch man. At least the cross save works. I know plenty of games where I couldn't use cross save and had to basically start again from scratch. As frustrating as it can be, it's better than not having the option for it.

I do have a lot of progress, but thats on Steam or PS4, not Stadia. I don't do D2 cross-save bc then i can't access all my clans at once. Sucks that you had to deal with that btw :(
