Match 1: Dabi and Shoto vs. Ed and Rolf

Today is the first round of the Spacehey Character Tournament. Two of the leading strategists, Couch Potato and Haybale, step out onto the battlefield. The arena is a large and spacious amphitheater, and the day is bright, with a sky clear of clouds.

Couch Potato is a fierce battle strategist and a big fan of My Hero Acadamia. They place their hand on the ground, chanting a deep spell of summoning. From the ground, two circles of light appear, and out emerges Shoto Todoroki and Dabi. They are a pair of two individuals with magical abilities called quirks. Shoto has control over and can produce fire and ice, while Dabi has control over and can produce fire.

On the other side of the amphitheater's floor, Haybale, a master strategist too, places their hand on the ground as well. They summon two people, Ed and Rolf. Ed is one of the three protagonists in Ed, Edd n Eddy. He is the strongest and the least intelligent member of the Eds. Ed is kind, good-natured, and happy-go-lucky with a positive attitude towards almost everything and everyone he encounters. He is the type of person who sees everybody he meets as a potential friend. Rolf is an immigrant from a far and distant culture known to us only as The Old Country. Both of the boys have super-human strength unrivaled by their peers.

As Haybale and Couch Potato step back from the arena, only their champions stand in silence. A referee steps onto the field from the side, lifting his arm to signal the match's imminent beginning. The two pairs tense, preparing to battle with all of their strength. Dabi and Shoto nod at one another, and Ed and Rolf share a knowing glance. Suddenly, the referee swings his hand down, starting the match!

The two sides race against eachother with murderous intent. The battle begins. The spectators cheer for their favorite team. Dabi and Shoto attack the enemy with their respective powers.

"Fire!" yells Dabi, igniting a fireball that engulfs Shoto and Ed. In response, Shoto produces ice to freeze the flames. But this causes Ed's head to explode. "Oops!" laughs Dabi.

Meanwhile, Shoto creates a wall of water that blocks Ed and Rolf from advancing.

"Lemme through!" shouts Ed, but Rolf crushes him with his giant fist.

Haybale summons their own power, creating a gigantic tornado that sweeps across the arena. It takes some time before it reaches the other side, but once it does, Ed and Rolf use their strength together to tear the storm apart.

Dabi conjures a second fireball, which strikes Shoto at the same time as Shoto uses his magic to create a wall of ice around them. As the flames and cold collide, both parties suffer massive damage.

Ed and Rolf try to get past Dabi's ice wall, but they find themselves stuck.

"You're not getting through my defenses," says Dabi confidently, "I'm pretty sure I could win this on my own."

"What? You think we'll just give up now?" asks Ed.

Rolf nods, "No way. We fight to the end!"

Both teams charge forward, aiming to take out the opposing team's leader.

"Yaaaaaaaay!" shouts Shoto, and suddenly Haybale is engulfed in flame.

"Ow! What was that about?!" calls Haybale.

Shoto smirks, "That was my signature move, 'Flame Fist'."

"Hey!" replies Haybale, "That's mine!"

But there's no time for angry words. The battle between the two teams rages on. Dabi and Shoto continue to attack, taking out more and more of the enemy team. Ed and Rolf are doing alright, as well, but their opponents are relentless.

Finally, Ed and Rolf manage to free themselves from the ice wall, and they come face to face with Dabi and Shoto. "Go!" cries Ed, and he charges towards Dabi. Meanwhile, Rolf rushes towards Shoto.

Before Ed can reach Dabi, Shoto produces a massive wave that knocks Ed off his feet.

"Sorry!" says Shoto, and he retreats behind the ice wall.

"Huh? Where'd you go?" asks Ed.

At the same moment, Rolf reaches Shoto and punches him in the head.

Both Ed and Shoto have been struck 3 times, and are now eliminated. Only two people stand on the battlefield... Dabi and Rolf. They are bitter, with only 1 injury taken each. The arena is silent for a long moment, until they suddenly rush at eachother. Its time to end this. Dabi throws Rolf into the air, and then launches himself at the top of the ice wall.

Dabi lands perfectly on the ice, and suddenly, the entire arena shakes. "Wha-" Rolf exclaims.

Dabi slowly lifts his arm, and suddenly, the ice around Rolf breaks, sending him crashing to the ground. Rolf rises to his feet, and suddenly, Dabi grabs him by the neck, pulling him so close that it seems he might choke Rolf. "Oh, I'm sorry, did my little friend scare you?" asks Dabi.

"NO!" shouts Rolf.

Dabi laughs, "Well, why don't we see how scared you really are?"

Suddenly, Dabi releases Rolf, and the two begin to fight. Dabi's attacks are precise, and Rolf's counterattacks are powerful. At one point, Dabi manages to send Rolf flying through the air, but Rolf quickly gets up and comes back after him.

"How many times do I have to tell you? This isn't a game!" screams Rolf, but Dabi doesn't seem to hear him.

"This is the real world! There's no reset button, and there's no mercy!" yells Dabi. "If you want a win, then you've got to earn it!"

"I won't lose!" shouts Rolf, but Dabi continues to pound away at Rolf.

After a few minutes of intense fighting, Rolf's health bar is completely depleted, but Dabi, on the other hand, is still standing.

"Ha!" shouts Dabi, "You thought you were the best, huh?"

"It's hard to believe," replies Rolf, "but you're actually pretty good."

"Thanks," says Dabi. "But I am not done yet."

Rolf's health bar is empty, and his opponent is still alive. For a brief moment, the crowd cheers, thinking that Rolf has made a comeback, but then they realize that Dabi has been holding back.

"Haha!" says Dabi, "Now that I've had my fun, its time for me to finish this."

Dabi again lifts his arm, and suddenly, the walls of ice around Rolf fall. "What?" asks Rolf incredulously.

Rolf stands on unsteady legs, and suddenly he collapses.

Rolf has suffered 3 injuries, and is knocked out! Dabi is victorious, and Team Couch Potato wins the first match!
