Title pretty much says it, I've been getting annoyed by how small the packs of basil are that you buy from the supermarket, so I'm planning on buying a basil plant and some soil tomorrow. I've watched a few videos on growing basil and plants in general, including how I can grow more of them (apparently the word for it is 'propagating', which is a very cool word).
I'm a bit hesitant because I've never attempted gardening before, so I don't want to buy stuff only to have it fail. For now I'm keeping it limited on the stuff I buy to just the plant and some soil, but I've seen videos that allow for indoor setups with heat lamps and heating pads, which maybe if I get more into it I'll do further on down the line, but for now I'm not going to get ahead of myself.
For now I'm starting with basil, but if I can successfully get that going and propagate it, I'd like to also try growing spring onion next. Who knows from there!
If anyone has any advice for a brand new gardener, or you have a gardening experience of your own that you'd like to share, please let me know! Thanks for listening :)
