We all know those names, but these two men have countless connections that boggle the mind, despite being two completely different people 100 years apart.
They were both elected to Congress in '46 -- Lincoln in 1846, and Kennedy in 1946.
Both were elected president in '60 -- Lincoln in 1860, and Kennedy in 1960.
Both were ahead of their times in regards to civil rights -- Lincoln with the emancipation proclamation, and Kennedy with what would become the civil rights act.
Both of them had doctors named Charles Taft, despite them being completely different people, 100 years apart.
Both men were shot in the head, both on Fridays, and both in the presence of their wives
The number 7 was associated with each of their deaths; Lincoln sitting in box number 7 at the theatre when he was killed, and Kennedy in car number 7 when he was killed.
The officers that detained each of their killers both had the last name of Baker.
Both of their successors after they were killed had the last name of Johnson.
Both of their killers were known by their full three names; John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald
And both assassins' names have 15 letters.
Booth ran from a theater and was caught in a warehouse -- Oswald ran from a warehouse and was caught in a theater.
And both assassins were themselves assassinated before they went to trial.
