Webcore fans?

I guess I'm putting this in the music section? Idrk where else to put it. Ik webcore is a genre (kind of??) but it's also kinda just an aesthetic. Anyway here on spacehey I figured I'd find a lot of people who share an affinity for this aesthetic/genre. Anytime I hear it, I feel like hopping on here or like idfk starting a website or something. It just gets me in that internet vibe where you're not just doomscrolling insta or something you're like rly USING the internet. You feel me? I don't know. Prolly no one is gonna read this shit. Think im drunk currently. Idk whatever anyway reply if you wanna discuss webcore or if you just have anything else to say on the topic because I feel it to be very interesting and many of the songs you'll hear deemed "webcore" I wanna kind of musically investigate, think a lot of them depend on jazz chords and such.

Anyways yeah post over whatever dumb ass post but

I love vaporwave, webcore is the shit. I totally understand what you mean by getting a feeling and wanting to make a website lol, vaporwave music genres know how to tap into the feels.

Yeah, a lot of genres give vibes obv, but idk I don't think that many outside of vaporwave and vaporwave-adjacent genres like webcore really make you wanna DO something that relates to the vibe. I think maybe the vibes that motivate you to do something (or try to think of something to do) relating to them are the ones that kind of put you in a certain world. Some music is vibey but you just kinda wanna sit and listen to it. So webcore puts you in that webcore "world" so to speak where you're making websites and talking on forums from like 2006 or whatever. Though I suppose it does also have kind of a feel where it's an exaggerated form of that, where you're not just doing things that are actually within your power, you're transported to a literal other world like the places in ENA (which I'm assuming you've seen if you're into webcore given that it kinda popularized or even invented the aesthetic).

Idk long ass reply and I should prolly make an actual seperate post to go more in depth on this but yeah
