I know you've all been waiting for a sequel to the by popular demand Grandpa...at first it was difficult to focus with all the positive feedback and acknowledgement...but I was finally able to sit down, focus, and work hard to give that long awaited sequel...I GIVE YOU Grandma!
My aunt took what looked most expensive
out of your jewelry case.
I took your videotapes.
Watched religiously inside your chair alone.
The many unread books stacked high on the shelf;
an inaudible backing audience.
Earth tone birds dance their own silent performances too,
surrounding your permanent furrow.
They gave me a matching middle name without much thought.
But you gave me so much more.
Your self doubt masked in the occasional sweetness of an apple pie.
We both refuse to boil water for ourselves regularly.
We both refuse to grow beyond what stilted us as kids.
We both want to die.

1. I love norm mcdonald. It was just a few days ago when i was watching old fam guy that i was reminded of him. He voiced the original grim reaper and i prefered him lol
He just has this apathetic charm to him.
2. Very relatable poem. As of last year, i have no living g parents. Its okay, but lots of feels.. emotions, thoughtful thoughts..

You and a handful of others are the reason i still use soc media at all anymore outside of putting music out. You guys make me feel not alone in and out of the many layers of life. Seperate from the herd, fewer in numbers, but never afraid to express. To me, thats strength. Thats art… and i think real artists are pretty cool cats =^_^=
