So I've been playing some more Minecraft version 1.8.8 recently. I initially got it because it was the oldest version of Minecraft that would run Optifine, but Optifine turns out to be sketch as fuck, so I ditched that idea. Phosphor was my second idea, but I don't think it would be compatible with a little development board being pushed way out of it's league.
Usually when I play Minecraft, I avoid using iron tools, mostly pickaxes when mining, because I don't trust the iron supply to be stable enough to keep replacing them with more iron pickaxes.
Well, this version has changed me. Using a single pickaxe, I can find enough resources to replace it five times over before it breaks, it's crazy. Never before have I had a surplus of iron to just do whatever with.
Or maybe I've always just been bad at mining. Probably that.
