The glorification of murderers and criminals in society is detrimental

Society has this way of placing these criminals on a pedestal to be worshiped. All over the news, documentaries, t-shirts, merchandise, books, etc. When they are known for something horrible like murder it's not good to feed that type of energy. I feel like it's adding fuel to the fire of negativity on the planet even if somewhat indirectly. For example someone is profiting off of the fame of these murderers. Also those that are impressionable might get the wrong idea and "monkey see, monkey do". Then we have copy cats. There's a difference between being aware of something and giving it energy. I understand that some people are fascinated by what makes these murderers tick from a psychological standpoint but also be aware that when you look into the abyss that the abyss stares back at you.
