  Chapter 5

(Peachkit’s pov)

I sat next to my mother, finally my grounded time ended, Spottedlight put some leaves and cobwebs to her cheek:

“Be careful, Cookie.”  Spottedlight sighed, “Next time don’t go to the outside again.” She sighed, she knew that my father attacked to my mother.

“I’ll go, Take care of yourself.” Then  Spottedlight left from the den, My eyes sparkled and,

“Hey mother!” I mewed, “Can I play with Shadowclan kits?” I asked to her with playfully attidue. She paused a minute and She said:

“Peachkit…” She sighed,“Tell me that you will not gonna play with them…”

“W-What do you mean?” I said, “Of course I’ll play with them. I am not 1 moon old mom, like I grow up…” I knew it that, I was 5 moons old. Some cats says i bit look like a young warrior now!

“Peachkit…Shadowclan cats are, annoying and smells a bit fuzzy.” She sighed to me, “Do you support them or what?” She asked. I mean what’s wrong supporting a clan…Are clans are always prideful from their actions? I don’t get it..

“Well mom, there’s nothing wrong supporting a clan.” I flicked my tail, “I mean what if Rc gets in trouble..”

“I know honey but i think Sc is a little bit fuzzy to me, I love you dear.” She acted so kindly and licked my head.

“I’ll change my opinion. Go to play them..” She pushed my back and I laughed, “I had a talk with your dad.” I sighed. “Come here for a second..” Then I walked near to her, sitting.

I saw Graycloud, “Uhh Graycloud can you get out for some seconds?” I asked to her, She glanced at me with harsh eyes.

“Well I don’t get orders from you, kit..” She said to me, I narrowed my eyes at her. Then my mother:

“For private.” She glanced at her, then Graycloud sighed and went out.

“Also Berrymuzzle you too, my friend.” She said to her, “Of course my best friend!” She meowed at us and she also left.

“Well what you want to talk about?” I asked to her. She sighed and her glares made me felt a bit weird feeling at my opinion…I- Oh no I’m gonna panic again with my thoughts…

“Well,Me and your father made a decision..” She said. My eyes widened..What was about it?! I-I had to learn…

“W-What is it..”

“Well, I’ll take you to the kittypet place..While my brothers and your father will stay at camp.” I…I felt pain in my heart..Why?! I have a dream to be a medicine cat! S-Should I just tell her?

“But mom! I have a huge dream to be a medicine cat!” I said to her, “I- I don’t want to leave the clan…” I said to her.

I could see her eyes widened too, “I mean i was uninterested to be a  warrior while everyone wants to be…I feel like herbs are easy to memorize it.” Then she glared at me with sad face then she licked at my head:

“Peachkit…I don’t want you be alone..” She sighed, “ But why do you want to leave then!” I said to her, rushed from out of nursery and went to elder’s den.

“Cyclone!” I rushed at him, he saw my teary eyes and hiccing. He got up and intedimaetly I hugged him because of my sadness…I don’t want to go! Just why?! Why?!

“W-What happened Peachkit?!” He said to me, “I- My mother says i have to left clan at her!” I explained, yet sobbing at his pelt more. “What am i going to do?!”

“Peachkit…” Cyclone murmured my name. “C-Cyclone!” I cried more. “You know what…You are going to stay in clan!” Cyclone said to me. Then i glared at him and stepped back:

“B-But how? How are you going to say to her.” I sighed,“ She doesn’t wants me to be alone.”

“I’ll take care of this Peachkit trust me..” Cyclone smiled at me, “You are going to be Medicine cat for no matter what it is!” Cyclone said with confident voice.

“R-Really?!” Even this made me happy…I felt my little soul cured but of course that little kit didn’t said anything today..

“Yeah!”

“Thank you so mcuh Cyclone! I owe you..” I said to him, I rubbed my eyes while that annoying ghost kit spoke to me:

“Hey- Where’s that mousebrained Thistlekit.” He groaned to me, “Who knows. I don’t even know your name, tell me what is your name?” I answered.

“Fine. I’ll tell my name.” He sighed, “I’m Shrimp okay?!” He sighed. “Well Shrimp, I don’t know where Thistlekit is.” Then I saw my mother, smiling back at me:

“I’ll be right back…Peachkit..” I nodded at her. Then she left the camp, I felt something was wrong..

“Hey Peachkit!” I saw Rosekit waving his paw at me, “Come on and get here also Wishkit and Leopardkit is here!” I sighed and went to at their side.

“Oh what are we going to do?” I groaned. I must see my mother as soon as possible,

“So Shadowclan came for Riverclan for help right?” Rosekit said, “Tomorrow Shadowclan and Riverclan warriors are gonna attack the Thunderclan and Windclan cats at the Shadowclan’s camp! We are going to escape with them! What do you think?” I paused for a minute…I know that I traveled the four the clans…What should I say do them?

“I-I guess it doesn’t sound so bad..” Leopardkit’s gaze glared at me. W-What’s happening? I kinda blushed at a bit but smiled to her. I could see her smile with blush. I feel some butterflies in my stomach..

Then my gaze fixed at Wishkit, who looked very rude to say:

“I don’t want Peachkit to come with us before what happened..” I narrowed my eyes at her. Well it’s true it was my but also his fault too..

“Well Peachkit do you want to come or not?” Rosekit said to me, “It will be fun if you came too!” Well i should be careful for them..I have no choice after all.

“I’ll come with you. Even i know that we would be in huge trouble so stay with my side.” I said calmly to them, Wishkit groaned:

“Peachkit tries to being the eldest one!” Wishkit said with annoyed tone, “But what? I just want to protect you all. Since I’m taller than you all!” I explained to them:

“I must protect cats who are older or younger than me for sure!” I said with a proud voice, the others sighed at me.

“Well, Peachkit can you act like a frog?!” Rosekit dared to me, “I bet, I can do better!” He said with a proud voice, I giggled.

“Oh you’re sure?!” I laughed and acted like a frog, I heard Leopardkit’s laugh.

“Oh p-please P-Peachkit s-stop it!” I laughed and did more, then I felt Leopardkit rolled and laughed more. “Hey Rosekit! I do much better than you!” I said to him.

“Oh yeah?! Let’s do more, Peachkit!” Then finally…We are tired, Rosekit won acting like a ‘frog’ but I made Leopardkit laugh too..

Thinking about Leopardkit, I thought she was just shy…But also cool cat too! I sighed and my eyes widened:

“Hey, I’ll drink water wait for me!” I lied, “Okay-” The three yelled at me, I rushed to outside of camp and saw Elmpaw who was at near of lake, He saw me and said:

“What are you doing here?” He glanced at me seriously, “I-I’m thirsty!” I said to him and drank some water from lake, “I’ll going to the camp, If you have to make dirt, do it quickly!” He yelled.

I glanced at the dusk, I shievered…Damn my wavy-bushy fur is so annoying..I turned at Elmpaw and said:

“Alright.” Of course I tried to search my mother, then i heard a voice, my eyes widened and hid at a bush. I saw a paw, but i couldn’t see correctly…W-What’s this?!

“Oh finally a fight or something!” Shrimp said..Ugh Shirmp is so annoying.

“Shh-” I said to him, not trying to make any noise, then I heard a yowl that made me shievered.

“Stop it!” I heard…My mother’s yowl?! What’s going on now?!

But sadly my vision got blured. I only this voices:

“Please! Please forgive me!”

“I-I don’t want any trouble!”

“I just only want to go the kittypet place and that’s it!”

I gasped with more words until a  cat said:

“Enough!” Then I felt somehow dizzy, and  tried to not shiever as soon as possible, Finally the cat’s scent dissapered. My vision came less blurry and got out from the bush.

I glanced around and i felt a huge different smell. Then i looked my paw and shocked. I-It was…Blood.

Then I saw my mother’s body and rushed at to her. I felt shocked yet scared too.

“Mom?” I pawed her, “A-Are you..” My eyes even widened more..The blood was from her?! H-How!

“I- Mom!” I cried, “Who killed you?!” I yowled. I couldn’t help myself…Then I heard pawsteps.

“W-Who is this?!” I hissed, “Stay away from me or I-I’ll fight you!” I hissed, yet my fear..No! I should be strong like my mother always said to me! But she’s dead now…What am I going to do?! Is…Is this my end in the Silverpelt..

“Well looks like we can get revenge from everyone!” Shrimp said with vicious voice, “Since we’ll kill the cats and rule the world!” Shrimp said with whispery voice yet I-I don’t even know if i’ll be fine with fighting with cats.

“Peachkit?” The voice said. “What happened here?!” The cat was Hawkleaves..Phew, I thought it was Elmpaw or father..

“Hawkleaves!” I hugged to him, “A cat killed Cookie! Butthe scent dissapeared..” I said to him. He felt shocked that I could saw his face.

“I- Alright. I’ll take the body while you go to the camp. Understood dear?” He said softly said to me. I nodded and went to the clan. I saw Rosekit and Leopardkit,

“Where have you been?!” He said to me, “I was worried about you!” He said. I sighed, “It’s nothing like really..” I said it. Then my gaze turned to Hawkleaves who carried the body..Yet I glanced at the ground,blankly.

“I-Is this..” Rosekit squeaked, “Cookie’s death body?!” Leopardkit said. Deerstar come near to us, her gaze sure in my opinion fixed at body.

“Who did this?” She asked, then I glanced at her. “Did you did this?!” She growled at me, I hid behind of Hawkleaves, I trembled in fear…I thought Deerstar was annoying but i never saw her side.

“Miss!” Hawkleaves said, “A kit can’t kill their mother! Cookie did know how to fight remember it!” I glanced at Leopardkit with worried expression.

“You are right..” Her face expression seemed a little but suspicious..Even the older cats would listen if i said Deerstar might killed her..They’ll make many rumors about me.

“Well we don’t have a choice to mourn her, so gather everyone..” Deerstar said, every clan cat went near to her and we mourned..I-I don’t want Berrymuzzle or Graycloud to be my foster mother! I want Cookie, my mother who loves me so much than her life..
