A day out with the gang :)

Yesterday I spent the day with Aiden and our friends Ezra, Nygel, and Kiniw. We all went to this small town close by called Lockport, and ate at this really cool retro style diner called Half Moon, which I’ve been to before many times with my family. The food is really good, and funny coincidence that my drama teacher came with her husband there to eat ice cream, it was nice to see her. After eating we played a bit at the mini arcade section that was in the diner before heading out to this cool lake/river location, with lots of rocky slopes that we almost fell and cracked our heads open on but no worries, we lived. Everyone was basically either skipping rocks or taking photos and videos, since the atmosphere outside was like clouded and blue-ish grey, with a bit of wind to add to the ominous yet chill vibe. After that we just drove around in the car, speeding up or doing lots of crazy drifts (Correction: Aiden is the driver so he was speeding up and doing lots of crazy drifts) it was lots of fun. We had to drop Nygel off home because he had something for his Air Cadets the next morning, but for the rest of us, we all decided to head over to the beach (Birdshill Beach) which for some reason I thought it would be a cool idea cause you know, it’s the beach, but at nighttime. It’s around 11pm at this point and for some other reason when heading there, I thought it would be a good idea to watch a scary video of a bunch of teenagers driving in the pitch black of night and getting brutally murdered with Ezra (who was sitting with me in the back.) Turns out to be a very bad decision cause when we got to our destination, not only was it just the four of us, but it was also just incredibly dark and ominously quiet out. The walk we had to take to go to the actual part of the beach, was just an absolute nightmare, I swear I thought there was something/someone hiding within the dark wooded area that surrounded the pathway we were all taking, and it was gonna come out to attack and/or kill all us. Luckily we didn’t get murdered and when we got to the beach itself, it was very nice and calming (also since the moonlight was out on the beach more than our walk.) The rest of our was just talking, looking out the very cool view, and just having a good time. We did end up leaving both because we were getting tired, and also we heard and saw a car from the distance, and did not want to get caught for underage drinking (Correction: Aiden was not drinking since he’s the driver, Ezra can drink cause they’re 18, however Kiniw and I are still 17. Also we weren’t drinking hard, we each just had a can each of Mike’s.) We all ran sneakily and as quietly to the car as we can, and got some Timmies (Tim Hortons), before we all went home, which was around 12:45am-1am. All in all, it was pretty fun outing with everyone, I think all of us had a good time and we’re all hoping to go on more outings in the future.
