here comes another babbly post about my mascot! This time I'm talking about her wings and where they come from.
PegaKitty's wings are magical. they're why she's able to remove them whenever she wants.
But how she gets them...is still in development...
I'm starting to think her parents give them to her, like a family heirloom.
Originally, way back in 2014, I had stated that she "woke up with them one day after realizing her special gift".
but looking back, that feels a bit weak now. I think I can do better. Like they magically appeared and that was it.
first let's talk genetics, or her bloodline.
In my lore, there's more than one pegakitty, there's at least a few of them scattered around the world. But when do they earn their wings?
An easy answer would simply be "oh they're born with them", but I didn't wanna go down that route. So I came up with the concept of earning them during puberty.
but where do the feathers come from?
PegaKitty has wings that transform from magical feathers, they're able to transform back and forth between being wings and feathers.
my current theory is that they were alchemized into being long ago, to evolve societies even further. Theoretically, you could get a lot done if you could fly!
Maybe the magical feathers were part of a secret study and only a few sets were ever given to people? Maybe someone snuck off with a single set, vanishing without a single trace?
I think this heirloom theory would make a lot more sense in PegaKitty's official background!
