The world know our histories, the torture and killings in this country is well known. Ferdinand Marcos Martial Law always hunt me, from insights down to confessions of the victims under his term. I am scared of what will happen to my country, for my fellow Filipinos got so used to the abused and corruption that they idolized fascist leaders, its like a stock holm syndrome. I am aware of Ferdinand Marcos achievements but I will not turn a blind eye of his wrong doings, may some fellowmen of my country forget the unfairness he caused but I will never. I read, I learned and I don't take sides, I know what is morally wrong and that is to kill the innocents, and the Marcoses should never have that privileged to do so. He who kill his people are the worst kind of leader you could think of.
Our new elected president is no other than Ferdinand Marcos son who's named after him, imagine living with the same name who I've known destroyed my country, I will never forget this for my whole life. The victims were still bruised, no one forgets a fascist leader who enjoys his men sufferings. I am scared of my own well being, I might even get killed just like what happened to the victims of martial law just writing this blog because they believe that if you express hatred for your leaders instead of treating them just as well the gods, you're bound to get punished. They label us terrorist, when I'm just a student behind this, a student who's scared of her future because she knows the people in this country vote for leaders with no clean backgrounds and credentials.
