my take and opinion on the whole user situation with age n shit.
Just a disclaimer for those of ya who want one: this is my opinion. so, take my words with a grain of salt, agree with them or not. im not telling people how to live. Just what i think.
When i was younger, I was kept generally off the internet, and i think that did me a lot of good, learning how to keep myself safe and not develop dependancies. Yes, I think some people might be able to make it through unscathed at a young age, but the vast majority is easily subject to influence. So Id hope that only 13+ people are on here to interact, especially cuz there is all sorts of content.
So. I think its totally A-ok for 18+ people to want to stay away from younger people, either out of preference or to keep people safe. Hell, you don’t need an explanation, if you dont want to talk or interact with people no one is or should be entitled to your time.
However, i think to an extent, it is (IN MY OPINION) alright for people of different ages to interact under context. No, it is totally fucked for over and under age people to be interacting sexually, and age shouldnt be lied of, whoever does is faulty. The majority of people here however are not interested in being groomed/grooming others, so I try to be cordial and understand where the person is coming from before I pass my judgement. Yes, I have met a couple creeps on this site. But i also believe that it is ok for people of different ages to share their experiences and learn a little about one another. We all kinda, are stuck in our little boxes, and some healthy appraisal of different views in a safe platform is part of the reason why I’m here.
So. I think people should be allowed to have their own preferences on age to talk to, and others should respect those preferences. And although I cannot tell under 13 people what to do, I dont think its the best idea to be here, although I wont judge you. Age doesnt have to be a focus of interactions, but when it comes to subject matter a sexual conversation should obviously take age into a much more serious account than, persay, a forum where people can share their favorite games. And if people don’t want to IM or interact, please respect that. Stay safe, be kind, and respect others without compromising your own morals and beliefs. thanks for reading :)

I've always grown up as the youngest in my friendgroup, with very few exceptions. I'm honestly amazed that any of those people were okay with talking to me!
I know I'll probably make my profile 17/18+ at some point, but I still want to be open in some way because I feel the need to look after people (which is mostly why I'm waiting for some kind of 'final straw', or for me to hit 20. Whichever comes first). Sort of like paying the kindness forward.
I'm not really sure why people get so up in arms when an adult asks not to talk to kids. I don't think I would've complained about that back even when I was 13. I was well aware I was a kid!
The only thing I find particularly funny is when people make kids out to be some force of evil or something. Like... No, they're just young and stupid. They're like younger, dumber versions of adults because they don't have the same amount of life experience. I think one thing that turns adults off from interacting with kids at all is because they're making the exact same mistakes we all did growing up, and maybe even worse ones that weren't possible then. Imagine if you got to watch people do the same incredibly embarrassing thing you were doing, and you can't tell them not to because they'll get mad and won't understand. The easiest thing to do is avoid those people.

im pretty much always a little confused as to why so many underaged people even are on here, like, idk it wouldnt really talk to me or be appealing to me if i was that age and grew up with already a lot better social medias than this myspace replica xD but other than that i fully agree with you
