Ok so I am seeing a lot of dissolution on Spacehey recently. It's a mixture of people getting down about not getting interaction, some complaining that this site is being invaded, and some complaining of creeps in the DMs.
I see your posts, I understand that these issues. Please remember this is a very young site. You'll never get the "experience" you had on OG myspace. You're not the same person you were back then for starters. Also people are more connected via their phones than through desktops. Which changes the whole interaction process.
Back when I used to use Myspace I would overhaul my profile on a near weekly basis, I'd talk with a small number of friends in profile comments and hardly ever use bulletins. But now bulletins seem to be the main thing people are using. I don't see as many people blog any more. (Which is part of the reason I'm using this and not posting a bulletin).
Give it time to settle into it's groove and stop propping things up purely on nostalgia for days past. Even if you could go back to it, it wouldn't be the same, because YOU are not the same. I am not who I was back in 2006-2009.
Youtube has also changed. If you use one of those sites to see/interact with older versions of sites you can see how much it has changed. And not just on a UI field. The whole series of changes in the "Content meta" and the algorithms have changed the way we use the site as well as Mobile changing the whole game altogether.
Don't feel bad that this site isn't what you remember. Just enjoy what the site has to offer, and post yourself out there. You never know where interesting conversations can come from.
I hope you enjoy your time on here, and I hope to see interesting stuff from you all. I'll be doing my best to do the same.

thanks for the input! it's true that the internet and everything that it has to offer has changed constantly throughout the years, and people won't relive the experience ever. the same may happen to someone who wants old twitter or old facebook (unsurprisingly none lol), it won't be the same and that's okay - one still can enjoy what it can offer and stuff !

It's no problems, I haven't won, I might fall in love with your boyfriend's guitar... I might already own one
This one does most of what I want it to, barring stuff that needs lower strings again
