new coworker

one time, after i started my shift and he went home, he texted me and asked something work-related. i answered and then he sent a heart emoji. i didn't know what i should think of that. i'm not sure if it had any meaning. i personally use heart emojis a lot without it meaning anything romantic, but most people do. i assumed he uses them the same way as me and didn't think much more about it. because i'm probably overthinking and why would anyone even be interested in me? i think by that time i also already mentioned my boyfriend.

a few shifts after that, a female coworker visited me during my shift to get something. she's around my age but already married, which is common knowledge at our workplace. before she came she called and asked if A (the coworker) was there. she didn't want to see him and seemed to really dislike him. i asked her why that was and she told me something that shocked me:

apparently when they worked together, he often touched her (on her shoudlers) which made her uncomfortable. she told him to stop it a few times but he continued doing it anyways. he also called her "romantic/cutesy" nicknames. he knows that she's married and one time said that he wished she wasn't. WHAT?? that's serious! i didn't expect this behaviour from him and am incredibly disappointed! i told her that if he continues so, she has to tell our boss.

that's sexual harassment, isn't it?? 
now i think differently about him. he didn't do that to me (even though he did touch me some times, but that was not as much) but who knows? i'm gonna see him today and will be careful from now on. it sucks. why are men this way?
i hope my female coworker doesn't have to see him again...
