The subconscious mind is not necessarily synonymous with dreams. Embracing the possibility of the imperceptible.

I had group therapy today and I mentioned that I had anxiety last night into this morning from some unforeseeable source that was possibly buried in my subconscious. It always seems to be about the "triggers" with mainstream psychology but often times anxiety just seems to happen on it's own for me. Even after clarifying that it was not dream related the people in the group still persisted on as if it were, seemingly ignoring what I had already told them. I think it's perfectly reasonable to consider less tangible things as a cause for anxiety such as spiritual attack or some sort of subconscious trauma, past life or even trans-dimensional trauma. However these type of concepts are far too esoteric and outside of the spectrum of the conventional western academia at this point in time. There are those who are open to it and maybe even embrace it but it remains relatively "fringe", obscure or "new age-ish" for the time being. As I constantly say in different ways, if we are to evolve in any medium or in general as a society we need to quit being ostriches with our heads buried in the sand while living in arrogance in the material world. In my experience of 41 years on this planet I've learned that there are many things that exist beyond our limited perception. The sooner we all realize this, the sooner we will advance beyond our wildest dreams and reach our full potential.
