Report Blog Entry
this is cool and all, but lets floor it >:)
so after some fiddling around spacehey, getting to know the interface and everything, i've decided to list down a few things that would be really cool to have here. espc given that it's not a one-to-one myspace replica.
profile edit text formatting
- right now, the only place with visual text formatting is the blog entry page. it's really where it belongs bc this is where the chunk of the writing goes, right?
- it'd be nice to have a WYSIWYG feature for profile editing. i get that we use html to format and its all for that sexy customization, but having that option would keep things consistent imo.
- on a personal note, sometimes i wanna customize things easily w/o using html tags (espc the about section, where it can get wild). yknow, prevents long term eye strain kinda deal.
custom sections
- i think this would seal the deal for me to just be here all the time. imagine the ability to just.... make new boxes on your profile. for like... whatever reason.
- i look at old timey deviantart where you could do stuff like that -- hypercustomizable dashboard that doesn't sacrifice any kind of functionality.
- can you imagine the influx of fan accounts. the level of personalization spacehey offers is a kink in itself.
an upgraded blog feed section
- no it wont follow mainstream style socmed feeds. consensus is that no one rly likes that, and i agree -- sick of the microblogging experience
- i just feel like it should feel more visible. sometimes i struggle to look for the blog posts themselves. while it could easily be fixed w css, i just feel like thats a lot of work for accessibility.
- a more visible feel = more customization potential. i feel like its a win-win.
blog entry folders/tag system
- i want this for no other reason than personal compartmentalization.
- it doesnt have to be public either, it could literally be a tagging system made privately accessible.
- i would blog whatever the hell id like to here (and it great amounts) sooooo...
that's it :V i just wanted to share my thoughts, and u can read them (or not) for rent free. it feels so good to have web personalization back w/o the hustle and bustle of socmed itself, so i think an elevation in experience couldn't hurt.
