I don't find death funny under any circumstances

Today I came across an artist that does various concept drawings for people and a portion of them involved the death of political figures in a satirical fashion. It doesn't matter who it is (even if it's a mass murderer or rapist) I just find it disturbing, distasteful and almost sickening that some people find death to be amusing even if it's just a portrayal or artistic rendering. If it's a fictional character I can let it slide but if it's of a real person I think it's kind of barbaric. I also don't find it funny when someone gets injured or has to go through any kind of trauma or hardship. Perhaps it's because I'm empathetic and I had a close call once but I am who I am.
