I am a spiritual being in a physical body and both aspects should be respected in regard to relationships

Recently I met someone who I seemed to connect with spiritually. I feel this is a very important aspect to life and can be part of a solid foundation in which to potentially build a relationship upon. I am pretty alien/naive to relationships as a whole and I wanted to see if perhaps that could act as the sole (or soul) factor in being with someone. This person made it quite clear that she wanted me appreciate her physical appearance too which isn't the real reason for the attraction. I guess this experience finished answering my own question about whether or not I can compromise and just be attracted to someone spiritually/mentally over physical appearance or vice versa. It seems like it has to be the full package as I am a spiritual being in a physical body. Ultimately that kind of compatibility is what I require and I would gather that most people feel the same. I feel like my ideal partner must be rarer than hen's teeth and yet I wonder what this life experience will bring. Are there more life lessons that I must learn before that moment comes? I'm forever curious...

i've always found that both are important the thing about spiritual connections however is those bonds hurt more when broken than something more superficial like appearance speaking from experience

Yes absolutely. When I was younger and more naive it was mostly about the physical and to a certain degree what kind of music she listened to. Now I know it's important to have a deeper bond.
