okay i really want to get a side labret piercing (like snakebites but only on one side) and my parents kinda agreed on it but they made me overthink my decision. Does anyone have any experience with it?

I currently have my right snakebite (plus the scar of what used to be and will soon again be my left snakebite) and piercing my snakebites was the best decision I've ever made for myself. The needle hurt like hell on the left side (probably because my lip was swollen from the right snakebite I did seconds earlier), but I was able to eventually push the needle all the way through and the only things I regret are not making sure the spikes were on tightly enough (which is how my left snakebite sadly ended up falling out while I was asleep a few days later and I couldn't get it back in) and not piercing my lip earlier.
The swelling only lasted for a week and the pain only lasted for a few hours. Honestly, if you want snakebites (or any other lip piercing), then go for it and don't let anybody try to stop you from having them.

I have vertical and the pain wasn’t that bad but I obviously felt the needle and everything. The swelling is the worst parrt but I don’t regret it
ouhh okay i understand, i bet it suits you so well! but is the hole of the piercing very noticeable if you would take it out

Thank u! And I haven’t taken mines out but from what I saw it does look like a small rosebud but it’s probably different for others
