Where do you sign up? If it would be free without adverse effects I'd be
in. Although I would wonder how the soul aspect of it would work in
that scenario. Sharing the same soul or a different one entirely? I guess in the sense of a true clone it would a shared soul. I
haven't met many other people who would be interested in this. That
being said I wonder how the other mes are doing in their parallel
dimensions. In particular I wonder how the me is that stayed in
Souderton instead of moving to Willow Grove is doing. In that alternate
reality I suppose my youngest brother would have never been born but I
probably wouldn't have developed as severe of an anxiety and depression
disorder from the torment I received in school.
I would volunteer to be cloned/my alternate dimension self

Interesting post! I agree that cloning is really interesting.
A lot of people feel that cloning is unethical and that it hurts the clone, as scientists would most likely use the cloned cells for scientific research/medical advances-- thus destroying the clone's embryo. OR they believe that it's unethical because the likelihood of the clone living a long life is very low at the moment. -- But, I don't see it any different from using stem cells from aborted fetuses or giving birth to a child that you know will die young from a harmful medical condition. So why not let cloning happen? We could get better at it over time and be able to have fully-functioning cloned adults that live healthy lives, just as any other human.
I know that some rich people have cloned their dead pets. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/28/science/barbra-streisand-clone-dogs.html -- here's an article about Barbra Streisand who cloned her dog(s). Although they are genetically the same, their personalities varied. This is interesting, as it shows how much personalities are influenced outside of the womb (however we do see this in humans with identical twins, nature's "clones").
I wonder how cloning a body with its soul would work, or even if it's possible, assuming that souls exist. Would that mean that one's soul would become immortal if they keep jumping from host to host? Or would there be multiple versions of the same soul? (I'm leaning towards the latter).
What do you think about all of this? I'd love to know :).
I feel like there could be pros and cons to it but I find it interesting. Actually in the case of the cloned dog being that the personalities were different supports the idea that animals have souls and that a clone might not necessarily share the soul with the original being. This is definitely something that would have to carefully monitored and controlled. If it becomes a thing there should be restrictions to ensure we don't become overrun with clones which could be disastrous. My curiosity gets the best of me and I'd like see what would happen in the case of a human clone. I mean how do we know that there aren't any already? There are theories that they already exist.

Definitely! This is a topic filled with mystery, yet so many people have great theories and beliefs when it comes to it. I'd like to explore it more.
