One of the reasons why I still hold that game close to my heart is because it’s where I first found out about the Emo sub genre. 

I think it was around 2013 when I got LBP2 on the PS3, we had LBP1 and I was the only person my family knew that understood the game XD anyway, when I started playing LBP2, I saw people’s characters dressed up really cool with edgy looking hair and fangs/ lip piercings on their characters. I was around 10 at the time, and I loved this style, I found out these people dressed their Sackboy/ Sackgirl up as Emos, and ever since, I’ve pretty much fallen head over heels for the style.

When LBP3 came out on PS4, we got it and that’s when I really started to dress my character as an Emo, however, me irl did not dress as such. Idk why I never thought to actually start to try and achieve the look. It wasn’t really until 2019 did I actually vote with my feets and decide to actually be alternative. 

I feel disappointed that LBP3 turned into such a let down, my data kept corrupting and I’d loose all my offline stuff (costumes, unpublished levels, etc) which made me really upset to be quite honest. The last time I played on the game, it was dead, there used to be thousands of people playing on some of the most popular levels (such as Super Powers RPG [something along those lines lmao]), last time I saw there was maybe 20 at the most. 

LBP3 used to be so full of life. It used to be my life. I think I used to use it as a coping mechanism, a stress reliever and an escape from my real life. I think I might see if we still have the disc for the game, I miss it so much. I wish I could’ve taken pictures of my character so I could draw them too. I think that’s one of the things I miss the most: this creative outlet that I spent hours upon hours on.
